Multi-Modal Masks - December 8, 2025: transform everyday materials into something extraordinary! Using cardboard, fabric, glue, and a few treasures from your recycling bin, you’ll create a wearable mask that expresses otherworldly features, bold ideas—or even your secret self.
Stories and Maps - January 5, 2026: Some of the most beloved stories—Lord of the Rings, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan—have come with their own magical maps, guiding readers through imaginary lands filled with wonder. join us on a creative adventure to design a mixed-media map inspired by your unique imagination and create a one-of-a-kind piece.
Stitched Characters - February 2, 2026: Transform a well-loved piece of clothing into a whimsical character from your imagination! Using simple hand-stitching techniques, you’ll bring your creation to life while dreaming up the story you’ll share together. No sewing experience needed—just a spark of creativity and a garment with a story to tell.
Self-Portraits Workshop - March 2, 2026: Ever imagined yourself with noodles for hair or bottle caps for eyes? In this playful workshop, you’ll create a low-relief self-portrait turning everyday objects into art.. Whether it’s steel wool, fabric bits, or broken toys, each material becomes part of a portrait that reflects your unique personality and creative spark.
Collage-Frottage Workshop - April 13, 2026: Step outside and discover the textures hiding in plain sight! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore your environment to collect rubbings and impressions of natural and urban surfaces. Then, using your textured findings, you’ll create a collage filled with subtle or surreal elements that reflect the wonder of the world around you
D.I.Y. Printmaking Workshop - May 4, 2026: Turn everyday scraps into your own art-making tools! In this workshop, you’ll use cardboard, scissors, glue, and bits from nature to craft a custom printing plate. Then, explore the magic of printmaking by creating a unique series of artworks—no fancy supplies or experience needed, just your creativity and a few small natural wonders.
Sculpture -TBD: Using non-traditional, easily accessible materials build a puppet or marionette. (This is a two-part class, fees apply to each class).
Each workshop takes place from 1 - 3 PM.
