How to Draw Comics - Build your story (May 31st, 2026 1:00pm - 3:00pm)
In this hands-on workshop students will learn how to create and draw an original comic book story. Illustrator Elin Laaksonen will instruct students to create:
1. Script & idea - outline the story
2. Thumbnail the story (small quick sketches of key points)
3. Draw rough draft
4. Line art & colour (Students will make a start on this)

How to Draw Comics - Character Design (TBD)
In this hands-on workshop students learn how to create and draw an original comic book character. They'll be guided through the process of creating a backstory and concept, and then into creating a rough thumbnail sketch. From there they'll refine their designs, render, clean up and add colour!
Students will leave this class character ready!
